Swiss Beauty of Lake Geneva
Swiss Beauty of Lake Geneva
Lake Geneva, the largest fresh water lake in Western Europe is also referred to as the Swiss Riviera.
Otherwise known as Lac Leman in French, Lake Geneva is a true European gem, making it an ideal holiday destination for those who seek the amazing Alpine scenery with a taste of luxury along its shores.
Formed by a retreating glacier, the crescent shaped Lake Geneva is most famous for its multitude of vineyards, classic French farmhouses, spas, wellness centers, yachts and boats all combined with the breathtaking panoramic view of the landscapes surrounding it.
Suffering a dramatic pollution level during the last century, wiping out almost its entire marine life, Lake Geneva has since been able to restore its natural habitat, making it again safe to swim in.

Devil's Peak Cape Town - Images & Detail
Devil's Peak is part of the mountainous backdrop to Cape Town. When looking at Table Mountain from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, or when looking at the standard picture postcard view of the mountain, the skyline is from left to right: the spire of Devil's Peak, the flat mesa of Table Mountain, the dome of Lion's Head and Signal Hill.

Great Rift Valley Kenya - Images & Detail
The Great Rift Valley is a name given in the late 19th century by British explorer John Walter Gregory to the continuous geographic trench, approximately 6,000 kilometres (3,700 mi) in length, that runs from northern Syria in Southwest Asia to central Mozambique in East Africa. The name continues in some usages, although it is today considered geologically imprecise as it combines features that are today regarded as separate, although related, rift and fault systems. Today, the term is most often used to refer to the valley of the East African Rift, the divergent plate boundary which extends from the Afar Triple Junction (see Afar Depression) southward across eastern Africa, and is in the process of splitting the African Plate into two new separate plates. Geologists generally refer to these incipient plates as the Nubian Plate and the Somali Plate.
